2nd of May is the day of the Polish National Flag, that is why, in our new promotional spot we are encouraging all Poles to display a white-and-red flag, no matter where they are.
In the video produced by Niepodległa, the Chief historian of the Polish History Museum – Richard Butterwick-Pawlikowski, who is of British origin, reminds us of the values that bind us as one nation after more than 100 years of partitions. The video material is enriched with shots from city of Warsaw, the beating heart of Poland for centuries, historical paintings created by famous Polish artists and also Polish folklore costumes in which the characters of the recording are featured. Take a look and share!
In this way, we would like to invite all compatriots to celebrate together and inspire others to be part of our annual nationwide campaign. If you want to join us, all you need to do is to display the flag, take a photo and simply post it on social media with the hashtag #mojaflaga.

One of the aforementioned pieces of art, which was used in the video, is a painting „Constitution of 3rd of May 1791” created by Jan Matejko on the occasion of the hundredth anniversary of the adoption of the Polish constitution. A memorable event immortalized in the painting served us as a background of the post promoting this year’s celebrations. Be one of us and encourage others to follow the same path by printing the poster available in the link below:

The Polish National Flag Day is a relatively young holiday (established in 2004), however white and red colours have been accompanying us almost from the beginning of the establishment of statehood. It is worth remembering that 2nd of May is also the Day of Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad. A simple gesture of displaying the flag may be the glue which keeps the individuals feeling as a part of the same cohesive community scattered across the globe.
Each of us can be an ambassador of Polishness, so do not hesitate to join #mojaflaga campaign!
