From Poland with love: birthday wishes to Finland!

Whether it’s the bleak Baltic Sea, soul crushing winters or a language that only a native speaker could love, Finland and Poland share the best the world has to offer.

To honor this frostbitten bond, Poland wishes all the best to Finland on its hundredth birthday! Here is a little something from Poland, with love:

Next year the birthday cake is on us: The Office of the “Niepodległa” Program – Polish independence celebrations headquarters – will be making something special for the centenary of Poland regaining its independence.

Thank you, Finland, for your unbreakable Nokia 3310, steamy saunas, Linux and mySQL. Thank you for the shared love of ski jumping and the drivers who challenge our Kubica. Thank you for all the metal bands our mothers wish we didn’t play at full blast.. Thank you for the Moomins, Santa Claus and… Matt Damon.

The Office of the “Niepodległa” Program is a national state-funded cultural institution responsible for coordinating the hundredth anniversary celebrations of regaining Polish independence.
